We’re excited to announce that Fire Station 37 on Murrell Road is about to get a major facelift! Beginning Monday, June 3rd, utilizing FEMA grant funds and City funding, Fire Station 37 will be completely rehabilitated from the ground up. This necessary project will harden the facility, thereby protecting the Public Safety personnel housed inside during critical weather events (such as hurricanes), as well as redesign and modernize the aged interior to more effectively meet personnel and equipment needs. While under construction, the crews normally assigned to this station will be moved to Station 36 on Fiske Boulevard. Mutual aid agencies are fully aware of the move and will support Rockledge to ensure that there is no interruption of service throughout the construction phase, which is anticipated to be completed in the spring of 2025.
Temporary Service Changes:
- Residents in need of a sharps box exchange should come to Fire Station 35, located on US 1 near Barton Boulevard, until further notice.
- Residents in need of blood pressure checks can stop by Fire Station 35, located on US 1 near Barton Boulevard, or Fire Station 36 on Fiske Boulevard.
