[ARCHIVED] 32nd Annual Independence Day Picnic a Huge Success!

Picnic 2018

On Wednesday, July 4, the City of Rockledge hosted its 32nd Annual Independence Day Picnic at McLarty Park. The success of this day-long event can be attributed to a number of factors, including the games, children’s activities and music, as well as the overall feeling of camaraderie that results from uniting the community. But one of the most popular aspects of this hometown favorite is the fact that lunch is still only ONE DOLLAR, and that dollar buys attendees a hamburger or hot dog, chips and a soft drink! Each year, the Independence Day Picnic seems to attract larger audiences, and 2018 was no exception! It is anticipated that nearly 2,000 guests came out to share the day with us. Of course the City could not enjoy this success without our amazing Sponsors and Partners - they are the ones that bring this event to fruition, and we thank you ALL for your continued support!!
