[ARCHIVED] Friendly Reminders from the Public Works Department

Vegetation

Thanks to our wonderful staff at the Public Works Department for sharing these friendly reminders!

  • It is not too soon to begin trimming trees and removing excess vegetation from around your property. Although it seems far away, hurricane season is right around the corner, and tree limbs and other loose yard debris can easily become projectiles during a storm event.
  • According to the landfill, mulch is no longer considered yard waste; rather, it is now classified as household garbage. So please keep your discarded mulch separate from your other yard waste and place it in your garbage receptacle.

Thank you for your cooperation!!
