The Rockledge Department of Public Safety is proud to announce the 5th Session of our Citizens Public Safety Academy (CPSA). The CPSA will expose our citizens and stakeholders to all facets of police and fire work—from community relations to firearms to firefighting. Participants will undergo approximately 35 hours of police and fire orientation and training, including police emergency vehicle driving, firearm use, participate in a ride along with road patrol, firefighting skills and equipment handling. All activities will be coordinated, taught, and supervised by law enforcement and firefighting professionals with the goal of providing a “behind the badge” experience and enhancing public safety-community relationships. The academy is open to City of Rockledge residents who are 18 years or older.
When: September 9th, 2021—October 16th, 2021 (Thursday Nights and One Saturday)
Time: Thursdays 6pm—9pm and Saturday TBD
Where: Rockledge Department of Public Safety and other select off-site locations.
Cost: Free (Uniform shirt and dinner catered by local restaurants included)
